V Villas Maldives at Mirihi to Host Thai Culinary Pop-Up from V Villas Phuket

V Villas Maldives at Mirihi – MGallery Collection will bring the flavours of Thailand to the Maldives this October with a special two-night culinary collaboration featuring the team from V Villas Phuket – MGallery Collection.

Taking place on 10 and 11 October 2026, the event, titled “From the Andaman to the Indian Ocean,” will connect the culinary traditions and island settings of Thailand and the Maldives through contemporary Thai cuisine, creative cocktails and beachfront dining.

From the Andaman to the Indian Ocean

The collaboration will welcome Executive Chef Pisut “Nong” Nahan and Lead Mixologist Mongkol “Lek” Saengchud from V Villas Phuket.

Across two evenings, guests can experience different dining settings at V Villas Maldives at Mirihi, including Cocktail & Dine at Muraka and a Sundowner & Beach Dinner at AKOYA Sea Lounge.

The concept reflects the connection between the Andaman Sea and the Indian Ocean, using food and drinks to tell a story across two destinations.

Contemporary Thai Cuisine Meets Island Dining

Chef Nong will present his signature “Thai with a modern twist” approach, combining regional Thai flavours and seasonal ingredients with traditional culinary techniques and contemporary presentation.

The specially created menu draws inspiration from both Thailand and the Maldives, with the surrounding waters and island environment influencing the culinary journey.

Featured dishes will include Royal Massaman Croquette, Siam Betel Crab and Ocean Tuna Crudo, offering guests a selection of modern interpretations of Thai-inspired flavours.

Rather than simply bringing a traditional Thai menu to the Maldives, the collaboration is designed around the relationship between the two destinations and their coastal environments.

Cocktails Inspired by Place and Storytelling

The culinary experience will be accompanied by cocktails created by Lead Mixologist Mongkol “Lek” Saengchud.

His approach is based around a “triangle” method, balancing sweetness, sourness and bitterness. Sweetness is used to create relaxation, sourness brings freshness, while bitterness adds depth, with each cocktail centred around an umami element.

For the Mirihi pop-up, the drinks will be developed specifically around the destination and event concept.

Featured creations include the Mirihi Martini, Muraka Whisper and Tropical Terroir, complementing the food while adding another layer to the storytelling behind the collaboration.

Two Evenings of Culinary Experiences

The two-night programme gives guests different ways to experience the collaboration across the resort.

10 October 2026 will feature Cocktail & Dine at Muraka, while 11 October 2026 will bring together a Sundowner & Beach Dinner at AKOYA Sea Lounge.

With menus and cocktails created specifically for the event, the pop-up provides an opportunity to experience contemporary Thai cuisine in the setting of a Maldivian island.

Further information regarding exact timings, menus and reservations will be announced by the resort, with availability expected to be limited.

A Culinary Connection Across Two Destinations

At Lets Go Maldives, we see collaborations such as “From the Andaman to the Indian Ocean” as an example of how Maldives resorts continue to develop experience-led offerings for international travelers.

For travel agents and tour operators, culinary events can also add another dimension to Maldives resort stays, particularly for guests seeking dining, wellness, culture and destination-led experiences alongside the traditional island escape.

The V Villas Maldives at Mirihi and V Villas Phuket collaboration brings together two MGallery Collection properties through a shared culinary story, connecting the flavours of Thailand with the island setting of the Maldives.
