Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa Unveils Masters of Food & Wine Series with Six MICHELIN-Starred Chefs

Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa is taking luxury dining to a new level with the Masters of Food & Wine Series, a season-long culinary programme bringing six internationally acclaimed chefs to the Maldives between October 2026 and April 2027.

Following the success of its inaugural Masters of Food & Wine event in July 2026, the new series transforms the concept into a six-chapter culinary journey. Each chapter is inspired by a different moment of the year, bringing together international culinary traditions, local Maldivian ingredients and the natural surroundings of Hadahaa.

For travelers seeking a Maldives holiday that goes beyond the traditional island escape, the series offers an opportunity to experience world-class gastronomy in an exceptional tropical setting.

Six Chefs, Six Culinary Chapters

The Masters of Food & Wine Series brings together chefs from Europe and Asia, each with a distinctive culinary background and international experience.

Rather than presenting a series of unrelated guest chef dinners, Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa has designed the programme as a journey through the seasons.

The six chapters explore Cantonese cuisine, Tuscan traditions, contemporary European gastronomy and French culinary artistry, with each chef bringing their own interpretation to the island.

A shared philosophy connects the entire programme: nature, exceptional ingredients and culinary craftsmanship.

The visiting chefs will draw inspiration from Hadahaa’s surroundings and incorporate local seafood, seasonal ingredients and flavours of the Indian Ocean into their menus.

Chapter I: Chinese Golden Week

Executive Chef Ku Chi Fai
2 & 5 October 2026

The series begins with Chinese Golden Week and Executive Chef Ku Chi Fai, founder of MICHELIN-starred Beijing Kitchen.

With more than four decades of culinary experience, Chef Ku Chi Fai is recognised for his expertise in Cantonese cuisine. Beijing Kitchen has received seven consecutive MICHELIN Stars and eight consecutive Black Pearl One-Diamond Awards.

His appearance marks the beginning of a culinary season that brings celebrated international chefs to the Maldives for rare dining experiences.

Chapter II: The Festive Spirit of Tuscany

Executive Chef Andrea Mattei
14 & 18 December 2026

The festive chapter introduces the flavours and traditions of Tuscany through Executive Chef Andrea Mattei.

Recognised with a MICHELIN Green Star for Sustainable Gastronomy, Chef Mattei’s approach places importance on seasonality, responsible sourcing and respect for nature.

His culinary philosophy creates a natural connection between Tuscan traditions and Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa’s focus on its island environment.

Chapter III: New Year, New Perspectives

Executive Chef Ruben Christiaens
6 & 10 January 2027

The programme continues into the new year with Executive Chef Ruben Christiaens of La Villa Lorraine.

His contemporary European cuisine has been shaped by experience in internationally recognised kitchens, including Eleven Madison Park in New York. He was also the recipient of the MICHELIN Young Chef Award 2022.

His chapter focuses on creativity, discovery and fresh perspectives as guests begin a new year in the Maldives.

Chapter IV: Innovation and Creativity

Executive Chef Michael Dyllong
23 & 26 January 2027

Executive Chef Michael Dyllong brings a contemporary European perspective to the series.

Chef Dyllong of MICHELIN-starred The Stage is known for technical precision, creativity and a modern approach to gastronomy. Recognised as one of Germany’s youngest MICHELIN-starred chefs, his chapter introduces another expression of contemporary culinary excellence to Hadahaa.

Chapter V: Easter by the Sea

Executive Chef Richard Gabriel Toix
26 & 29 March 2027

As the season moves towards Easter, Executive Chef Richard Gabriel Toix of MICHELIN-starred Le Charlie in Corsica takes centre stage.

His culinary style combines French techniques with influences gained through a career spanning France and Asia. The Easter chapter is designed around ideas of sharing, connection, discovery and renewal, complemented by the setting of the Indian Ocean.

Chapter VI: The Art of French Gastronomy

Group Chef David Hemmerlé
5 & 8 April 2027

The final chapter brings the series to a close with Group Chef David Hemmerlé.

His international career has taken him across France, Brazil, Russia, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. Drawing on classical French techniques and decades of culinary experience, Chef Hemmerlé will conclude the programme with a celebration of gastronomy, craftsmanship and the natural environment of Hadahaa.

Where World-Class Gastronomy Meets the Maldives

At Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, the island environment plays an important role in the culinary experience.

The visiting chefs will not simply bring their established styles to the Maldives. The programme encourages them to draw inspiration from the destination, its natural surroundings and the ingredients of the Indian Ocean.

This creates a connection between international gastronomy and the Maldives, allowing guests to experience familiar culinary traditions through the perspective of an island setting.

For luxury travelers, culinary experiences such as this can become an important part of the overall Maldives journey, adding a cultural and gastronomic dimension to the destination.

A Season of Culinary Experiences

The Masters of Food & Wine Series also reflects the growing role of gastronomy within luxury Maldives travel.
