Coco Bodu Hithi Marks PADI Women’s Dive Day with Marine Conservation Initiative

Coco Bodu Hithi is celebrating PADI Women’s Dive Day 2026 with a special marine conservation experience that brings together certified women divers for a meaningful underwater adventure in the Maldives.

Held in recognition of this year’s global theme, “Celebrate Community. Create Change.”, the resort’s Women of the Ocean Reef Clean-Up Dive combines ocean exploration with environmental stewardship, encouraging participants to protect the vibrant marine ecosystem while enjoying one of the Maldives’ most spectacular house reefs.

Designed exclusively for certified women divers, the guided reef clean-up dive offers guests the opportunity to remove marine debris, contribute to reef conservation, and connect with fellow ocean enthusiasts through a shared commitment to preserving the underwater world.

Discover the Maldives with Coco Dive

At the centre of the experience is Coco Dive, the resort’s PADI-certified dive centre, where guests of all experience levels can enjoy personalised diving adventures led by an experienced multilingual team of instructors.

From introductory dives for beginners to guided excursions for experienced divers, Coco Dive provides safe and memorable opportunities to discover the extraordinary marine life that makes the Maldives one of the world’s premier diving destinations.

Explore World-Class Dive Sites

Located just minutes from the resort, nearly 30 renowned dive sites are easily accessible, offering encounters with colourful coral reefs and an abundance of marine life. Divers may spot hawksbill turtles, white-tip and grey reef sharks, eagle rays, barracuda, Napoleon fish, schools of blue-striped snappers, batfish, and fusiliers throughout the surrounding waters.

Guests wishing to begin their diving journey before arriving in the Maldives can also complete the theory component of their certification through PADI eLearning, allowing them to maximise their time exploring the ocean during their stay.

Celebrating Women in Diving

“At Coco Bodu Hithi, we believe every dive is an opportunity to build a deeper connection with the ocean,” said Jinn Hui, Dive Base Leader at Coco Bodu Hithi. “PADI Women’s Dive Day celebrates the growing community of women in diving while reminding us that small actions, such as removing debris, can make a meaningful difference to the health of our reefs.”

By combining world-class diving experiences with hands-on conservation efforts, Coco Bodu Hithi continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable tourism and marine protection. The resort’s PADI Women’s Dive Day initiative offers guests a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of the Maldives while contributing to the preservation of its precious underwater ecosystems for future generations.
